A reinterpretation of the traditional South-African farmhouse “riempie” chair.

The riempie leather strips rythmically weave between the stool and its structure to create kinetic visual effects as one passes through the space the chair hugs.

The stained birchwood ply frame has been machined and joined together by a steel tube around which the riempie leather is weaved. The frame has glimpses of a lathed profile to pay historical homage to the typical chair of its time.
